Natalie

Co-founder & Illustrator

Natalie is a illustrator and has worked as a product designer (web and app), with a career spanning across digital design, coding and marketing. As a mother to a daughter, Natalie is conscious of the lack of women in the STEM industry and works to encourage women and girls to develop a passion for STEM.

Denhue

Co-founder & Author

Denhue is the father of a toddler daughter who began his writing career experimenting with breaking down big ideas for a young audience. Denhue has a background in aerospace engineering, which has plenty to do with his natural interest in STEM related topics.

Our mission and values

Children are always at the heart of what we do. At Little Scholars Playground we believe in the power and joy of play and reading. We’re passionate about creating high quality toys, books and learning resources that helps children to develop and grow and that they will love and cherish.

Denhue and Natalie have a combined 20 years’ experience working in the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) industry. Denhue has a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and Natalie has a Master’s degree in web design and content planning. We want to encourage parents to embrace STEM for their children early on. An industry which creates the inventors, innovators and leaders of tomorrow. Learning STEM doesn’t have to break the bank, therefore we want to ensure our products are accessible to all.

Our future goals

Safety and sustainability are also at the core of everything we do. Our goal is to meet today’s children’s needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We have reduced our use of single use plastic where we can and we use eco-friendly paper and FSC wood.
